November Recipe - A Sweet Thanksgiving Appetizer

Sweet Potato Gnocchi with Browned Butter and Sage

  • 1 lb. Casa di Trevi Sweet Potato Gnocchi
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (1 stick)
  • 15 - 20 sage leaves
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • Optional: For a sweet twist on this recipe add a touch of cinnamon or maple syrup to the browned butter

Cook the Gnocchi according to package directions. (Be careful not to overcook)

For the sauce, melt the butter in a small pot over medium heat. When the butter has melted completely add in the sage. Continue to cook the butter and sage, stirring occasionaly, until the foam subsides and the butter begins to brown. Remove the pot from the heat and stir in the salt and pepper. Pour sauce over gnocchi and enjoy.
